But where do these fears come from? Well, it is likely that the source of the fear is rooted in a particular experience or planted by a particular person in your past. What happened back then has now become your reference point or benchmark by which you judge similar situations. Let's imagine that back in the day you really fancied this hot guy. It took all of your courage to finally ask him out only for him to laugh at you and tell everyone that he would never date a loser like you. Fast forward 20 years. Faced with the same situation your mind goes back to that horrible, humilating moment in time and you bottle it deciding not to risk humilation again. Now, you dont know that you this new hottie would definitely reject you but that past experience has become your reference point. A bad experience as a reference point is going to leaving you feeling worried, anxious and humiliated, all of those feelings that you would have experienced when you were brave enough to ask out that guy back in the day.
So, what can you do, when in this situation? There is really only one solution and that is to change your reference point. In order to do that you will have to put yourself out there on a limb and ask out the next guy you are attracted to. If you dont then your reference point will always be that horrible, humilating experience all of those years ago.

But fears are not always based on things that we can't do or are too scared to do. Sometimes we can find ourself in a place of fear when things are going well. When things are going well you find that there are people who make you very aware of that fact. They will either speak highly of you or they will be slating you behind your back or to your face. The haters are usually my sign that I am doing something right and that I am to keep going. But, it can be scary and it can leave you with a little fear about what may happen next, as well as how amazing things can truly be.
When faced with this situation there are many who will give into the fear and end up sabotaging this good thing that they have created. Instead of ignoring the haters or negative thoughts they allow them to play over and over in their mind, reaching point where they say "Fuck this! I give up!" They have wound themselves up instead of empoweing themselves and accepting the situation as it is right now. But how do you take yourself from the point of ego centred negativity to Higher self positivity?
1. Ego vs Higher Self
You need to recognise where these thoughts are coming from. Are they coming from your ego self or your Higher Self? Getting connected with yourself enables you to better ascertain where these thoughts emanate from. When you know you place yourself in a stronger position to overcome your fear-based thoughts.
2. Here and Now
All we really know for certain is what is happening right now. Ok, psychics can give you a prediction about what may happen tomorrow but even that is based on the situation as it stood at the time of the reading (I hope that makes sense). Therefore, focus on what is happening in the here and now. When you do that you will feel less fearful and anxious because you are focused on what you have got, as well as what you can do in this moment in time. This moment in time is precious and you will never get it back, so make the most of it.
Essentially, in order to overcome our fears we need to face them. When we face them we need to show them who is boss. So, show your fear who is boss today and become the best possible version of yourself imagainable.
